For residents facing an eviction or utility disconnection, they may be able to help. In general, the Salvation Army can only assist the low income with paying rent or utilities once in a 12 month period. In order to be able to apply, individuals need to have an eviction notice for rent assistance or a utility shut off notice. Make sure you bring proper documentation, including copy of lease, eviction notice, utility bills, proof of ID, and more. Those who need assistance from the agency will be served on a first come first serve basis as funding allows.
