Emergency Food Distribution and Meals for Children

Starting on Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20, St. Vrain Valley Schools will be opening 11 food pickup sites where students, families, and staff can receive lunch and breakfast food items. The daily pick-up window is 11:00-12:30 p.m. at one of the following district locations: Timberline PK-8, Northridge Elementary School, Altona Middle School, Sunset Middle School, Soaring Heights PK-8, Frederick High School, Mead Middle School, Lyons High School (12-12:30), Hygiene Elementary School (11-11:30), Niwot High School, and the Learning Services Center.
Meals will not be available during Spring Break but services will resume on Monday, March 30 if school closures extend beyond Spring Break.
BVSD -
Next week, we will be distributing bags of food that will contain several meals’ worth of shelf-stable foods along with fresh produce at nine regional sites.
On Tuesday, March 17 and Thursday, March 19 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., food will be available at these locations:
Creekside Elementary School
Crestview Elementary School
Columbine Elementary School
Emerald Elementary School
Louisville Middle School
Nederland High School
Pioneer Elementary School
Sanchez Elementary School
University Hill Elementary School
Identification or paperwork will not be required to receive food.
Location addresses and additional information can be found here. There is typically no food service during Spring Break, so there will be no distributions during the week of March 23-27. If the school closure is extended, the distributions will begin again.
Impact on Education is coordinating volunteers and donations to help deliver this program. If you would like to volunteer, you can signup via this link. We will be providing additional information for families who wish to donate in the near future.
THE ROOST, SMOKIN BOWLS and JEFES TACOS in LONGMONT -
March 16th -20th 11 am to Noon and 5-6:00 pm at all three locations - FREE kids meals for dine in or take out. Between 11 am and Noon and again from 5-6 pm. No purchase necessary for one meal per kid per meal period.
Also, one free fresh apple and orange available per person per day for everyone not just kids.
